Health Assistant Training
Program Objective
During the COVID-19 pandemic, apart from the disease crisis, society faced another severe challenge in the form of unemployment and job loss. Thousands of youth lost their livelihood and were left without stable income opportunities.
To address this challenge, Youth Base Development Society (YBDS) started a dedicated Health Assistant Training Program aimed at providing job-oriented skill development in the healthcare sector.
The objective of this initiative is to equip youth with practical healthcare support skills, patient care techniques, first-aid knowledge, emergency handling, and hospital assistance training.
This program bridges the gap between healthcare service demand and skilled manpower availability at community and institutional levels.
Training Scope & Modules
The training includes hospital assistance, nursing support, patient care, hygiene management, blood pressure and temperature monitoring, emergency first aid, elderly care, and ward management support.
The course also includes communication skills, patient interaction, hospital documentation, stretcher support, and basic healthcare ethics.
Participants receive both classroom learning and field-based practical sessions for professional readiness.
Implementation Strategy
The implementation process follows a structured approach beginning with mobilization, registration, orientation, and batch-based training sessions.
Practical exposure visits to hospitals and healthcare institutions are organized regularly so that trainees gain real-world experience.
